Horan Natural Area
Horan Natural Area & Wetlands At Confluence State Park
You can have quite an adventure at the Horan Natural Area, located at the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers. The paths are gravel and dirt - accessible by most strollers/joggers, so we figured it would be an easy day...

Subaru Kid's Club - Ohme Gardens Adventure
For our third Subaru Kid's Club hike, we explored the beautiful Ohme Gardens. Both children and adults were able to see and learn more about native plants, enjoy great views of the valley and burn off some energy in a gorgeous, SHADY environment.

About 45 minutes from town, the Subaru Silver Falls is one of the Wenatchee area's most popular family outings. You can see waterfalls, cool structures such as stone steps, log fences and interesting bridges. You can enjoy both nice
views and shade.

Rocky Reach Dam Visitor Center
Wenatchee, Washington Kids of all ages have a great time exploring the Rocky Reach Dam Visitor Center. We looked at fish, took a self tour of the Museum of the Columbia River and had fun playing in the
gardens and playground.

There is a great hike at Leavenworth's Waterfront Park and
Blackbird Island, which is about 45 minutes from Wenatchee. The flat trails wind along the Wenatchee River and
include interpretive signs, inlets, benches and bridges. It's a popular
spot for bird watching and the paths are stroller and jogger accessible.
We had to cancel this event due to the poor air quality in the valley caused by local fires, so we don't have any pictures... but we still recommend this as a fun outing for kids.
Directions on how to get to Blackbird Island in Leavenworth:
Go west on Hwy 2 from the Leavenworth ranger station. Turn left at 9th
street (traffic light). Turn left at the end of 9th street. Park at the
end of the unpaved road. http://www.icicleinn.com/activities/waterfrontpark.htm
